KAITLYN HARRELL IS A DIGITAL FILMMAKING & VIDEO PRODUCTION MAJOR

 

Since I was little, I had a passion for making videos. My mom told me I picked up a camera when I was very young and my affinity for videography grew from there. Whether it was taking pictures or making silly YouTube videos with friends, I always had a camera in hand.

In high school, I took a digital media class and it was then that I realized exactly what I wanted to do for a living. I looked forward to that class every day and it was the highlight of my week to edit the school announcements. 

 

Today, I've earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production at the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham. My goal is to further my skill set and knowledge within the broadcast industry. I am currently a Broadcast Technician at WRAL-TV and hope to advance my career within the news industry.
